V5R1 Operations Navigator: Power, Productivity, and Ease of Use

Operations Navigator, IBM's graphical user interface to OS/400, has doubled in size from V4R5 to V5R1! What does this mean for you? It means you get an easier, more advanced, and more productive environment for interactive management of your AS/400 and iSeries servers. This presentation will give a brief introduction to Operations Navigator concepts, and then provide an overview of V5R1 enhancements like graphical work management, LPAR, BRMS, and even a graphical command prompter.

Our Speaker for this event is: Joe DiCecco

Joe DiCecco  is a Senior Software Engineer in the iSeries development lab in Rochester, Mn. He has been with IBM for 17 years, all of them in Rochester as a software Human Factors specialist. Joe has contributed to the user interface design and usability of the System/36, OS/400, PC Support and Client Access, the IBM Network Station Manager, and for the last 6 years, Operations Navigator. He is currently the Rochester GUI Design team leader and iSeries User Interface strategist. Prior to joining IBM in 1984 Joe worked for Wang Laboratories.
