Session Description:

Although your IBM i server is one of the most securable platforms available, the protection of critical data is often undermined by weak security at the application level.

This session will cover the main considerations that a programmer should be aware of as they design their applications:


Biography: Our Speaker is Robin Tatam, PowerTech.

Robin Tatam joined PowerTech in July 2009, and brought with him two decades of midrange experience. He has worked in numerous capacities in the industry including application developer, systems engineer, and various managerial positions. Since 2003, Mr. Tatam has focused primarily on IBM i security, and has consulted with clients around the world on security and compliance issues. His experience with IBM i security gained him a seat on the “Panel of Experts” at the PowerTech iNSIGHT Security Conference in Las Vegas two years in a row, as well as selection by IBM to co-author the IBM Redbook on System i data encryption . Mr. Tatam’s experience has culminated in 20 professional certifications from IBM.
