Tactical Modernization

Modernization has been an interesting buzzword in IT for some years now, but seems to remain popular as a means to get companies to rip and replace, spend money, install Windows and get to the web. With all the conflicting industry noise and vendor speak, it is difficult for the IT leader to design their own modernization roadmap and take the first step.
This session clarifies many of the choices available to IT shops for modernization, with a focus on companies with IBM i servers in their organization. It will help you sort through the vendor noise, and understand which steps are best to take next, and what additional research should be undertaken. These topics will include infrastructure modernization, developer tools, web enabling, user experience, new languages, and several other overview topics.
