HTTP Server Powered by Apache - Overview
Apache is the industry's most popular server. In this session you will learn how the IBM HTTP Server for iSeries product supports server instances that are "powered by Apache".
In this session, learn:

  1. IBM's strategy and iSeries's plans for the Apache server.
  2. The high level features of the HTTP Server for iSeries powered by Apache.
  3. How to plan for future use of the HTTP Server powered by Apache.

Karen Richner   is a Software Engineer at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota, where she has worked since 1978, taking 6 years off to raise a family. She has a BS in Computer Science from Michigan State University. She spent the early part of her career on the S/34 and the S/36, concentrating mainly on communications functions, such as SNA and APPN. For the past four years, Karen has worked exclusively on the HTTP Server for iSeries and is currently the lead developer on the "Powered by Apache" HTTP Server for iSeries, having specialized in the SSL, proxy, and communications portions of the server.
