SQL Triggers and Other New Trigger Functions in V5R1
IBM has announced significant new enhancements for triggers in V5R1, which will be reviewed in detail in this session. Did you know that the dreaded Read Trigger can slow your system to a crawl, you can now have multiple triggers per database event, and your triggers must now be given names? Are you aware that you can disable or enable a trigger with the new CHGPFTRG command, trigger information is logged in the system catalog, and there is a powerful new SQL trigger function. If the answer to some or all of these questions is No, you need to hear what IBM has done with triggers in V5R1. A basic understanding of trigger concepts is required.
