This session introduces the most powerful feature of RPG IV, subprocedures. Subprocedures, or simply “procedures” provide a way for RPG IV programmers to pass parameters to routines, replace small programs with faster procedure calls, and extend the capabilities of the RPG IV. In this session you will learn the syntax of writing procedures, including all the necessary Definition specification keywords that are used to write easier to use procedures.
