Moving to the Web with RPG
See how RPG IV and ILE are an effective “next step” on your route to the Web, and how RPG IV can act as a effective business logic language for Web applications. This session will review the logical steps to move from existing RPG applications to a browser based application and ultimately out to the Internet. Some Java and Web terminology will be covered, however, the focus will be on the IBM tools for moving from traditional RPG to Java and the Web.

Alison Butterill   is an IBM Certified Consulting I/T Specialist working for the IBM Software Development Lab in Toronto, Canada. She has worked in the mid-range area for more than 20 years holding a wide variety of positions at IBM, from field support to Technical Education. For the past 8 years, Alison has worked for the Toronto Development Lab as a Technical Advocate for the latest AD Tooling. Throughout her career, Alison has been a specialist in the areas of Application Development and Database. Alison is a frequent speaker at both North American and European COMMON Conferences, and has won numerous speaker medals. She is a frequent speaker at user group meetings and other events around the world.
