Since V3R1, IBM has been adding many new functions into the database. DB2/400 allows the use of referential integrity and database triggers. Stored procedures and additional DRDA support were also introduced. What are these functions? How are they implemented? Using these advanced features makes DB2/400 an excellent database server in a client/server environment. This session will provide an overview of these functions.
Alison Butterill is an IBM Certified Consulting I/T Specialist working for the IBM Software Development Lab in Toronto, Canada. She has worked in the mid-range area for more than 20 years, holding a wide variety of positions at IBM, from field support to Technical Education. Throughout her career, Alison has been a specialist in the areas of Application Development and Database. Alison is a frequent speaker at COMMON Conferences around the world including North America, Europe and Australasia. As well, Alison presents at many user group meetings, technical conferences and other events around the world.
