Case Study: Logical Partitioning (LPAR) Implementation
This session discusses what it means to LPAR your system and why one might want to do this. It sets the stage for the environment, and the thought processes, as well as the actions and work efforts to complete a secure LPAR of an 8-way system. We will also discuss the financial and performance pros and cons that had to be considered during this project. LPAR is the wave of today and tomorrow, it is worth and investment of your time. By the end of this session, attendees will understand what makes up an LPAR ed system and the evaluation, sizing and experiences.
