RPG Tricks of the Trade Part 1
This session is a ‘Grab-bag’ of iSeries tips and techniques. In this session, learn: 1) A Wide range of typical application issues (like large file loads, recursive calling, triggers, OPNQRYF, record locking, date manipulation, user spaces, service programs, and subfiles. 2) Neat ways of handling or overcoming problems associated with particular types of processing. All examples are in RPG IV.

Ron Harvey   is a senior partner with Software Architects International Inc. a Boston based consulting and software development firm. In the course of his 30 year career Ron has held positions from Computer Operator to IS Director and most everything in-between. Ron is an IBM certified specialist, holds a CDP certificate from the ICCP, is a former author and technical editor with News/400 magazine, past manager of COMMON's Application Enabling Project and an award winning speaker at COMMON USA, COMMON Europe and other conferences and groups.
