Using Net.Data with the iSeries 400
Net.Data is a no-charge Web scripting language included with the iSeries 400 Web server. With Net.Data, you don't need to know much HTML to create Web pages that give you dynamic access to the iSeries 400 database. Even if you plan to use WebSphere to deploy your Web applications, you may find that Net.Data is useful for prototyping your site. Some of the topics included in this session are: Quick steps to configure Net.Data on the iSeries 400, Use Net.Data's iterative code/test environment to quickly create and refine a Web application, How Net.Data automatically produces Web pages from SQL statements, Create an HTML prompting form and use values entered to control your Net.Data macro, and Use Net.Data table functions for complete control of your Web page's look.
