This session covers ILE user written condition handlers, ILE message percolation, Error and Message subfiles. Additional examples include Job Information API, and a user written validity checker for an IBM command.

Russ Popeil   is a Sr. AS/400 Technical consultant for AVNET Computer an IBM business partner. He has over 16 years experience on the IBM midrange platform. He is a past President of the Long Island Systems Users Group and a frequent speaker at COMMON, and other local user groups. He is the author of the book "RPG Error Handling technique, bulletproofing your applications". He has also written many articles for News /400 and Midrange Computer Magazines. He is an IBM Certified specialist, and a member of the IBM certification test writing team. He is also on the IBM Toronto language labs RPG advisory council, a member of the IBM Rochester labs Round Table and a member of the IBM/JDE competency center advisory team.
